Empowering Heritage: The Queen of Queens Initiative

Founded in 2018 by Dr. Chidatmika Khatua, the Adi Tribal Foundation is dedicated to the upliftment and holistic development of tribal communities across Odisha and beyond. The foundation works with a strong focus on education, women’s empowerment, and the preservation of indigenous culture and traditions that are often at risk of being forgotten. Through various grassroots initiatives, it aims to provide better access to learning opportunities, skill development programs, and platforms that encourage self-reliance among tribal youth and women. One of its most notable initiatives is the Adi Rani Kalinga Tribal Queen Contest, recognized as India’s first tribal beauty pageant. This unique platform goes beyond conventional beauty standards by celebrating cultural identity, traditional knowledge, and inner strength. It empowers tribal women by giving them visibility, confidence, and opportunities to showcase their heritage, talents, and leadership potential.
